Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to training services booked with Michelle's Mutts.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all training services, courses and consultations provided by Michelle's Mutts to clients, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Services and contract
Services are delivered live via video call. A contract is formed when a booking is confirmed by us. Each plan is tailored to the individual dog and owner; no specific training outcome is guaranteed, as progress depends on consistent practice between sessions.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in GBP (£) as shown on the Services & Pricing page. Payment is due in full before sessions begin, unless agreed otherwise. View current prices.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the session. For later cancellations or missed sessions, the fee may be charged in full. We will always try to find a fair solution in case of illness or emergencies.
For multi-session courses (e.g. Puppy Group Classes), individual sessions missed by the client — including for illness or other personal reasons — cannot be refunded or carried over, as the place in the course is reserved for the full programme. If a session cannot take place because the trainer is unwell or otherwise unavailable, that session will be rescheduled or made up at no extra cost.
5. Online sessions — technical requirements
You are responsible for a stable internet connection and a working camera and microphone. If a session cannot take place due to technical issues on our side, it will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
6. Owner responsibility
The dog remains under the owner's care and control at all times. The owner is responsible for the safety of people and animals during and after sessions, and for following guidance at their own discretion.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Training advice does not replace veterinary or medical care.
8. Group courses
Group courses require a minimum number of participants (3 teams). If the minimum is not reached, we may reschedule or cancel the course and refund payments made for it.
9. Right of cancellation (consumers)
As a consumer you generally have a 14-day right to cancel services booked online. Where you expressly request that services begin before the cancellation period ends, the right may lapse once the service is fully performed.
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us (Michelle's Mutts, Am Tripp 5, 61250 Usingen, Germany; email michellesmutts@icloud.com; phone +49 1522 9522500) of your decision by a clear statement (e.g. a letter or email). To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the 14-day period expires.
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision, using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; no fees will be charged for this reimbursement. Where you requested that services begin during the cancellation period, you must pay a reasonable amount proportionate to the services already provided up to the point you informed us of your cancellation.
10. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which the consumer is habitually resident remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
